Artist Statement

Alena Suprun is a realism artist that loves to work with oil paints in order to capture depth and likeness in her paintings. She has an associate’s degree in fine Art and is furthering her education in Art at Eastern Washington University. She is fascinated with objects that have sparkle to them such as jars and eyes. She enjoys challenging herself by trying to capture as much detail as possible in her paintings. Most of her inspiration comes from the real world such as nature, food, animals, and shiny surfaces in day-to-day living. Her goal is to cast ordinary objects in a new light. In her spare time she enjoys sharing her passion for art with other people by teaching them to paint.
